To Plan?

I'm trying to put things into perspective, its only the 6th!

I've made my bed for pretty much two weeks straight...believe me it's a miracle.
I'm using less plastic, and remembered to take my reusuable bags for this weeks grocery shop.
I'm just about to book in for swim squad next week, along with my usual classes.
And so it goes.

But all I can focus on is the 3 missed gym days due to 1 travel, and 2 lazy days - actually yesterday at lunch and after work I sat outside and enjoyed the sun, its been a rare sight this summer, today yeah lazy, but guilt followed shortly after and then a HUGE coffee and white chocolate muffin...strange this is though I only like coffee as a drink, and I don't like white chocolate. What gives?

I just felt like an epic failure, after three days. It was ridiculous.

I saw something when I got home that made me realise that I could get to goal in a realistic way, thanks Jadey. Also the rejoin ww for $1 flyer came in the mail, hmm I thought I only missed two weeks, but okay. And I've decided to go and see a registered dietician in early February also.

It will be okay, I just need to see the bigger picture sometimes, and remain positive.

Remember that change that takes hold is gradual and done in doses, not all at once. You'll become the person you want to be, just not in 6 days. But, hey, you are still off to a good start. I'm trying to do a lot of the same things you are and it's not as easy as it appears, especially the gym thing - and I don't even have white chocolate muffins to entice me to stray!

I agree with Anne, change -real, lasting change, that is - is a gradual thing. And what you do 95% of the time is more important than what you do 5% (if that!) of the time. I mean, if someone never exercises and eats Maccas for every meal, every day, 7 days a week, and then one day they go for a walk and eat a salad, would you describe them as a "healthy person"?! Probably not! So does a small deviation from healthy habits mean that you're lazy, a failure, whatever? Of course not :D

You are doing SO brilliantly, and I will not hear otherwise!

Signed, Sargeant Phil.

Can I join your guilt club? I've missed the gym twice already this year! Tuesday I thought I'd do a workout at home instead... I didn't.

There is nothing worse than the guilt of eating something you don't enjoy. At least if it's something you really want, you have had the fun of eating it.

Don't waste time feeling bad - just move right ahead to the next opportunity. And always treat yourself with kindness and compassion. It's not easy, this being human stuff.

You'll get there, and this year, I will too!

I'm so glad my chart helped hun! You can do this and we all have off days, weeks months and sometimes years. The trick is in not turning days into weeks, months and years of bad behaviours. xoxoxox
